- Discuss
how technology tools can encourage students to be reflective and evaluate
their own strengths.
Technology tools can encourage students to be reflective and evaluate
their own strengths by inquiring, studying, planning, evaluating, comparing,
managing, creating and presenting.
Students get to try new tools and help other students. Technology tools
also help the students become more experienced.
- Describe
several ways in which you can get students’ minds ready for a project.
To get students minds ready for evaluation, students should first
complete a self-evaluation. This allows
students to think about their capabilities and how they can direct their own
personal learning. Teachers can also discuss students thinking and processes.
- Discuss
the elements of teaching fundamentals first.
Before getting into a project the teacher should teach the knowledge and
skills students need to know in order to work independently later on in the
lesson or lessons.
- Describe
the important steps in preparing students for using technology in project.
Teacher should plan efficient ways to get students ready to use
technology tools for learning, this may require planning ahead. Teacher should
also always have a good amount of set resources available. Learning functions should
also be identified.
- Discuss
ways to promote inquiry and deep learning.
Students can pick questions and plan investigations. Later they can begin
to put the plan into work. To promote inquiry and deep learning teachers should
ask question starters.
- Discussion
on how concepts in this chapter relate to your topic/project.
This directly relates to my groups classroom kitchen topic. The students
will have to investigate using technology for most of the project.
I enjoyed your answer to question number two because i like that you based it around self-evaluation. I think this is a big factor when getting your mind ready for a project. When working on a project it is important to know what areas you are strong in compared to your group members because then you can narrow down what each members focus will be. Then as a teacher you will discuss their thinking and processes.
